Llangollen Canal - pre Launch

So we got off the Chesterfield Canal on Monday, but having done 90 locks without her rubbing strip Dignity was looking tired. So Tuesday night we took her back to the workshop for some tlc ready for Wales adventure. 

We filled the dents, and gave her a rub down and a new lick of paint.  The trailer also underwent repairs, with the brakes now working, new mud guard fitted and painted, and all the unnecessary bits cut off. 

With the paint still wet, and it raining (not ideal but what can you do) we set off from the workshop at 12:30am Thursday back home to load up for the trip. 

We hit the road at about 3am took a bit of a detour as plans changed but now the sat nav claims we will arrive at Welshpool for 8:46am. If this is indeed a launch I will blog the details, if nothing else but to make it easier for us to come again.
