Chesterfield canal - launching from West Stockwith

We have returned to Chesterfield Canal to enjoy the bank holiday.
Finding places to take a trailer sailer in the UK hasn't been easy for us which is why I am starting this blog. There are loads of great places to go but we really struggle finding the info online as to where to launch, how much that costs, what times the slip is available, how much parking costs.
So now each time we go out I'll blog it and then there will be at least one website that has all the info we need.
So the postcode for the launch at west Stockwith (the start of the chesterfield canal) is DN104ET, Canal lane, west Stockwith, Doncaster.
It costs £10 to launch and £10 to recover so £20 and parking was free. It is a concrete launch that is operated by the lock keeper and so is only available during his working hours. You will need to contact him on tel:07958301657. We launched at 7am no problems. You need a British Waterways key to access the marina which also gives access to all the facilities.
